We are keen to explore how, when we replace our current van stock, we can move to 100% electric. We are exploring different charging options, including chargers at depots and hubs, using the public charging network, and charging at home.

We have looked at the mileage you are doing, and most of you will only need to charge once every 10 days, some once a week, and there are a small number who will need to charge twice a week.

We need to balance what might be the most convenient solution against what is feasible and affordable. We understand that for most people, charging overnight, and therefore at or close to home is the easiest solution.

To help us understand what might be possible we would like to understand if:

  1. Charging at home might be practical and something you would be wiling to consider. Electric Vehicles can be charged using a three pin household plug, as well via dedicated chargepoint. It means that 3-pin charging takes longer, but can top up a vehicle from 20-80% charge overnight.
You would be reimbursed your energy costs.
  2. You live near to a public chargepoint
There are more and more public chargepoints being installed across the county. https://www.zap-map.com/live/ is a great resource to see where chargepoints are.
