New 500 route - from Chichester to Yapton, 4 July 2023

From a convenience point of view the 500 route is good: regular; runs early and late; goes past Barnham train station, etc.

From a 'good bus journey' point of view it's also good as the route takes in villages, A27, country lanes - where the bus rockets along rattling around - past Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, so it's quite interesting.

I only tried the trip from Chichester to Yapton as I was attending an event at the Yapton Community Centre...in fact it was the official launch of the 500 route, hence the nice shiny bus in the pictures (I'm being mean, they're all shiny! At least at the start of the day) , but I intend to do the rest of the route.

This could be a good commuter bus, as my Littlehampton based colleague said, it could be a good alternative to getting to work in Chi by car. At the moment its great value with the £2 fare cap...and even better value from 23 July to 29 July as it's going to be totally FREE to ride.
