Overview

Thank you for your interest in completing this survey.

Good sexual health is an important part of good overall physical, mental and emotional health.

West Sussex County Council’s Public Health team is carrying out a needs assessment about the local population’s sexual health. This will ensure those who plan and organise care and support have the latest information and data to improve people’s sexual health and wellbeing.

We are looking at the following sexual health areas for this needs assessment:

  • Healthy relationships

  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STIs) for example, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea

  • Contraception, including condom use

  • HIV/AIDS

We invite you to contribute to this work by completing this short anonymous survey which asks about your sexual health. Hearing directly from people in our local population is extremely valuable and will directly contribute and shape the needs assessment which will be published on the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (opens in new window) website next year.

The survey focuses on three areas – information and advice; accessing services; and sexual health support.

This survey is only open to people aged 16 or over. We will survey young people under the age of 16 on their general health needs in 2025.

To thank you for your time in completing the survey you will be eligible to enter a prize draw to win one of five £20 Amazon gift vouchers as a thank you! Personal information requested to enter will only be seen by the member of staff responsible for distributing the prize and will not be linked with your responses in any way. Terms & Conditions can be accessed here (opens in new window).

The survey is anonymous. Some of the questions ask about sensitive issues about sexual health, but we will not use your responses to identify you or attempt to contact you in any way. Your responses will not affect any service provision you currently receive.

The consultation will close on Sunday 2 February 2025 at 11.55pm.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

An Easy Read survey is also available online. You can find this below, under the first ‘survey’ area.
