Stakeholder views on our alternative provision strategy

As part of the Local Authority's work around developing and implementing its alternative provision strategy, we are seeking views from a range of stakeholders to help us understand how they would like to receive information about processes around three key areas of work:

A8: Ensure clear processes are in place for schools and other agencies to meet their duties for children and young people leaving mental health provisions to support them back into education.

A9: Review the arrangements for children and young people with an EHCP who receive Education Other Than At School (EOTAS). Establish a policy and accompanying criteria for when this is used.

A10: Ensure that statutory processes for children and young people not attending school for medical reasons is clearly understood by schools and the LA and health services.

While some of these processes are already in place, some need further refinement and some need to be developed in partnership with our stakeholders.

We would welcome your views about any of the above areas that align with your area of interest/work.
