West Sussex County Council People and Communities Directorates have created a Commissioning Workforce Development Programme because it wants to embed a coordinated and consistent approach to the commissioning of ‘people and Community’ services across the Council. This is part of a Council wide aspiration to be an excellent commissioning organisation.
WSCC wants to enhance the skills of everyone who has a role that involves commissioning whether that be as a leader, strategic commissioner, broker, contract manager, data analyst or any another role to ensure consistency across all Council commissioning activity, It is important that everyone has a shared understanding of key activities within the commissioning cycle and how to successfully apply them to achieve excellent outcomes for people and communities.
The Programme is currently 1 year into offering a range of different types and levels of training opportunities to suit the varying roles of individuals. There will be common threads throughout to ensure the fundamentals of excellent commissioning are embedded and implemented by all.
We are asking you to complete this short ‘self assessment’ survey. We will collate the information anonymously to help evaluate the Programme overall but we will maintain confidentiality and not share any individual details. You will be asked to complete the survey again in the final year of the Programme to help you assess your progress.
