August Update

We have now completed 11 signalised crossings, with a further two sites scheduled for construction in August.

From Monday 22 September 2025, West Sussex County Council will be refurbishing the existing traffic signals junction of Stockbridge Road, Southgate & Basin Road, Chichester.

The A286 Stockbridge Road will be fully closed in both directions at the level crossing for approximately 8 weeks. A vehicle diversion route will be clearly signposted throughout this period. Access to local businesses and train station carpark will be maintained at all times. We will be doing weekly updates for this project on this webpage.
