Welcome to the first Annual Fostering Survey. It is so important for us to hear your views across a range of areas that impact you, your families and the children you care for. We are committed to listening and acting on what we hear.
This survey will provide a really important measure of how our Service is performing and serving you, and enable us to focus on the areas that need the most attention and improvement. We will also be using the results to share with the wider Service to consider how our systems could and should improve.
I know it is a bit long and I am sorry for that, but there are lots of questions we want to ask you! We are planning to repeat the same survey every year to help ensure we can measure and see progress and change in action.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support and commitment to our Service. Thanks also to our friends at the United Foster Carer Association (UFCA) who have had a preview of this survey and helped to shape it.
I am really looking forward to seeing the results and we will be sharing the findings with you all when we come together for our annual Fostering Service Day in January.
Best wishes, Kelly

You are welcome to complete this survey as a household or individually, whatever is your preference.
We want to gather your honest feedback about your lived experience of fostering with West Sussex County Council. For that reason this survey can be completed without the need for you to include your name or email address.
If you would like the Service to contact you to discuss your responses, there is an option at the end to add your name and email address. If not, please leave this blank.
There is also an option at the end to have your responses emailed to you as a reminder. In this instance, any personal data (e.g. email addresses) will be separated out from the main survey data before being shared with the Fostering and Kinship Service.
