Local Authorities are expected to regularly review how they pay providers to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of all providers in their area.

As a provider of Early Years Funded Entitlement (EYFE) in West Sussex, your input is invaluable as we explore potential enhancements to payment schedules. This consultation comprises a briefing document, a survey, and a Payment Schedules Modelling tool.

The purpose of this consultation is to delve deeper into three proposed payment options for EYFE. Please note that the figures and timelines provided are preliminary, and subject to change.

Rather than the survey being a simple vote, we invite you to share your insights on the advantages and challenges associated with each option. Your perspectives will help us better understand how changes to payment timings may impact EYFE providers across the region.

Before completing the survey, please read the briefing in full and use our Payment Schedules Modelling tool to see how the different options would work. Some guidance on how to use the tool are included in Appendix A of the briefing.

It is important to note that the options presented are not final. Therefore, we may need to consult with you further following this consultation before any final decisions are made.
