Week 21 Summary

This week, the contractors have been focused around all sections. Temporary lights remain in place. The bus stop (Manor Royal West) is now reopened. Central island works in section 1 and Crawley Business Quarter completed this week, traffic signal upgrades have been continuing with the installation of new signals been carried out. Section 1 has progressed well with the excavations to formation and placing of type 1.

Road Closure Update: Overnight road closure for carriageway resurfacing works to start from 14 to 26 July 2025 between 8 pm – 6 am. Diversion route will be signed on site. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Look Ahead – Week 22

  • Traffic Management Implementation: A designated running lane will remain in place to allow construction plant and dumpers to operate within the working area, reducing the need for vehicular movements on verges. Bus lane suspension of the bus lane up to Faraday road to simplify traffic flow. Temporary lights will remain in place.
  • Section 1: Construction of the widening and new drainage in this section continue.
  • All Sections: New signage being installed. Verges to be tidied and cleared.
  • Pedestrian Access: The pedestrian crossing within Section 3, 2 and 1 will remain closed. However, alternative crossing points to the East and West will remain fully operational.
  • Traffic signals: Telent will be finishing works within the traffic signal controller.
