Week 20 Update

Week 20 Summary

This week, the contractors have been focused mainly within sections 2. Temporary lights remain in place. The bus stop (Manor Royal West) is now reopened. Works on the eastern end of section 3, the central island at section 1 and works around the traffic signals controller and progressed well this week.

Look Ahead – Week 21

Traffic Management Implementation: A designated running lane will remain in place to allow construction plant and dumpers to operate within the working area, reducing the need for vehicular movements on verges. Bus lane suspension of the bus lane up to Faraday Road to simplify traffic flow. Temporary lights will remain in place.
Section 1: Excavations and construction will start for the widening of the bus lane.
Pedestrian Access: The pedestrian crossing within Section 3, 2 and 1 will remain closed. However, alternative crossing points to the East and West will remain fully operational.
Traffic signals: Telent will be installing new cables and equipment to get crossing points operational soon.
