Week 19 Update

Week 19 Summary

This week, the contractors have been focused mainly within sections 2. Temporary lights remain in place. The bus stop (Manor Royal West) remains closed. Works have continued around the bus stop, pedestrian crossing and working towards gate 1 with utilities successfully lowered. Works what also started on the southern western bus stop. Works here will only last a couple of days and the stop remains live and temporarily moved slightly east.

Look Ahead – Week 20 (Section 2)

  • Traffic Management Implementation: A designated running lane will remain in place to allow construction plant and dumpers to operate within the working area, reducing the need for vehicular movements on verges. Bus lane suspension of the bus lane up to Faraday road to simplify traffic flow. Temporary lights will remain in place.
  • Section 2: Works around gate 1 continue with the installation of kerbs. Pedestrian crossing and bus stops (N&S) to be surfaced and reopened.
  • Section 2 Bus Stop: The bus stop is now closed. The next closest stop will be at Faraday Road. (Manor Royal Central) This stop will be reopen by Tuesday.
  • Pedestrian Access: The pedestrian crossing within Section 3 and 2 will remain closed. However, alternative crossing points to the East and West will remain fully operational.
  • Section 1: Utilities start on site to lower and slew their network.
