Week 12 Update

Week 12 Summary

This week, the contractors have been focused mainly within section 3. Temporary lights remain in place and are running well. Carriageway construction has been continuing with new kerbs being installed, new pedestrian crossing signal post sockets, and subbase prepared for tarmac layers. Openreach have completed in section 3 and move onto section 2.

Carriageway construction has been continuing with new kerbs being installed at Manor Royal, Crawley

• Traffic Management Implementation: A designated running lane will remain in place to allow construction plant and dumpers to operate within the working area, reducing the need for vehicular movements on verges. Bus lane suspension of the bus lane up to Faraday Road to simplify traffic flow. Temporary lights will remain in place.
• Bus lane Construction: Base and binder layers installed on section 3.
• Section 2: Enabling works up to the bus stop will start.
• Pedestrian Access: The pedestrian crossing within Section 3 will remain closed however, alternative crossing points to the East and West will remain fully operational.
