What is climate change and how does it impact our planet?

What is causing climate change?

Isn't 'climate' the same as 'weather'?
They are different:
Weather is a description of what the conditions are like in a particular place at a particular time. For example, today it could be:
Climate is a description of the average weather conditions in a certain place over the past 30 or so years.
