A24 Worthing to Horsham and Dorking Transport Improvements Survey
We’re working to improve the transport network and would like to understand your views on our proposals for transport improvements on the A24 corridor between Worthing, Horsham and Dorking.
The proposals are part of West Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council’s transport strategies, which includes improving road safety and making walking, cycling and public transport more appealing options for short trips. By improving the standards of our roads and facilities for walking, cycling, public transport and reducing congestion, we will support the local economy, benefit people without access to a car, improve road safety, and reduce impacts on the environment. The proposals are part of a wider strategy that also includes improving the performance of major road network routes and supporting the transition to electric vehicles across both counties.
As well as enabling West Sussex and Surrey residents to live healthier lifestyles, it is hoped that improving transport infrastructure will support the local economy, reduce pollution, improve safety, benefit users who do not have access to a car, and tackle climate change.
