West Sussex County Council is currently developing a Young People’s Leisure-Time Strategy.

Building on the recent Young People’s Leisure-Time Needs Assessment, the strategy aims to create a more joined-up, equitable and high-quality local leisure time offer that supports young people’s health, wellbeing and development. It will focus on young people aged 11–18, and up to 25 for those with SEND. Please see the Young People’s Leisure time needs assessment for further information: Young peoples recreational and educational leisure time activities (opens in new window)

Given the central role schools play in young people’s lives, your insights into their experiences, needs and any barriers to participating in leisure-time activities will be invaluable in shaping the strategy’s priorities and actions.

We warmly invite you to share your views and experiences to help shape this work by completing the survey below. There is also and opportunity to contribute through an upcoming workshop on the 16th of July. If you would like to attend the workshop, share your thoughts, or discuss this further, please contact Rebecca.newell@westsussex.gov.uk.

Thank you for your input.
