Stop Smoking Service Provider referral routes and client groups
Help Shape a Smokefree Future for West Sussex
The Smokefree West Sussex Partnership and the Tobacco Delivery Group, part of the West Sussex Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, are committed to making West Sussex a smokefree county.
Your honest and anonymous feedback is vital in shaping our strategic direction and achieving this goal. By sharing your views, you’ll help us refine our approach and ensure that stop smoking support services across West Sussex are effective and accessible.
Your input will be combined with feedback from other stakeholders to guide both our long-term strategy and practical actions.
The new West Sussex Health and Wellbeing Strategy has two strategic goals focussed on tobacco. These are:
• Effective stop smoking pathways are in place across the county, providing fair access for all population groups to stop smoking services, and support to quit smoking.
• Stop smoking services for population groups at high risk of the consequences from smoking, for example, those who are pregnant, developed with their input, to maximise uptake and effectiveness.
• Smokefree environments are normalised across our health and care system, with key partners and organisations role modelling this movement.
• People are protected from illicit tobacco and underage supply
As part of the efforts to achieve these goals, it would be helpful to understand the referral sources and pathways, general outreach and promotion strategies and targeted efforts towards specific groups of smokers that stop smoking providers in the West Sussex Smokefree system are undertaking.
