Parent/Carer information

Thought‑Full is a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) working with children and young people in schools to support emotional wellbeing. We offer evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy informed interventions to help young people manage difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, and wellbeing challenges. You can find out more about our service here: Thought-Full

We are pleased to let you know that your child is approaching the top of the waitlist, and we expect to be able to offer support soon. This support involves weekly sessions over around 10 weeks, which means some appointments may fall during the summer holidays.

As a service, we continue to offer sessions throughout the holidays so that children and young people can access support as soon as possible. To help make this work, we kindly ask that families attend at least 4 out of the 6 weeks during the summer break. Sessions may be offered face to face or online via Microsoft Teams.

We understand that the summer holidays can be a busy time, and it can sometimes be difficult to commit to regular appointments. However, missing multiple sessions can affect the support we’re able to offer. In line with our service policy, three missed sessions (including cancellations or no-shows) may mean that we need to end the intervention earlier than planned.

Please note

If we don’t hear from you within 5 working days, we will assume that you would prefer your child to wait until sessions can mostly take place during term time.

Please note that, depending on the level of interest and responses we receive, indicating availability does not guarantee that your child will be offered sessions over the summer period. This information simply helps us to plan our service and allocate appointments as fairly and effectively as possible.
