The SEND and Inclusion Review is a process to consider the lived experience of children and young people with additional needs in school. It helps to ensure that all children and young people, in all educational settings, achieve the ‘very best start in life’: in direct alignment with the West Sussex vision for our children and young people. This is essential to build the skills and qualifications required for successful transition into further education, training, and employment.

  • consider the lived experience of children and young people with SEND
  • review and quality assure provision with experienced professionals
  • support strategic action planning and school development plans
  • reinforce self-assessment with external validation
