Self Harm network workshops
Join other professionals and volunteers to hear what is working for them and get updates on the latest initiatives, research, resources and policies. You will be able to improve your understanding and skills to prevent and respond to self-harm, increase your confidence in having conversations with pupils, parents and carers, and understand when and where to refer pupils. All those supporting young people are welcome to attend including teaching assistants, mental health leads, SENCOs, counsellors, school nurses and other services.

Self harm is very common alongside an eating disorder. This session will consider three common questions: Why is the person I am supporting with an eating disorder self harming, how should we best respond to self harming behaviours which are co existing with an eating disorder, and how can I manage my own feelings when supporting someone with an eating disorder who is self harming?
