SFS Locality Meeting Review 2025/26

In Top Tips on 28th April 2025, SFS advised that further changes to system checks and locality meetings would be implemented as a result of feedback from schools. 

In summary, elements of the system check would take place in the summer term, using a revised checklist and carried out by SFS ‘behind the scenes’ (therefore not impacting on SBPs time). Feedback from this would be sent to schools, and the system self-check completed by schools and returned to SFS. Meetings with all schools in localities would take place in the autumn term with specific timed appointments for each school (so no school needs to wait around), and still an option to work alongside the team all day. These meetings would focus on training/support identified from the system check and system self-check, plus time to work on the 3 year budget. The aim was for all schools to leave with a completed draft of the 3 year budget from this session. 

As always, we would like feedback from schools on the changes that were made to enable us to continually improve the service on offer.
