Headteachers' Consultation Survey
Notes for completing the headteachers' consultation survey on the West Sussex Model Pay Policy For Schools, the School Teachers’ Pay Award 2024/25, and changes to the 2024 STPCD.
This short consultation survey of headteachers at West Sussex maintained schools should take around 15 minutes to complete. There are three main parts.
Firstly, to assist with our analysis of the survey's results, you will be asked to provide some simple profile information about your school.
Secondly, the survey asks questions about the West Sussex Model Pay Policy For Schools and the school teachers’ pay award for 2024/25.
Thirdly, the survey asks for your views on the removal of the performance related pay requirement from the draft STPCD, the draft STPCD wording on Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time, and the move of the list of administrative tasks into the main body of the draft STPCD. There is also a question about the policy wording for progression on the Upper Pay Scale.
Finally, there’s an opportunity for you to provide additional information should you wish to do so.
Your responses will be collated to provide overall and segmented views for West Sussex schools; individual school responses including those to supplemental questions will remain anonymous.
It is important that we gain as many responses as possible to be representative of headteachers across the county and across the various types of school.
Your views will be vital in helping us represent your position as part of the local implementation of the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD) here in West Sussex which we do through the West Sussex Model Pay Policy For Schools.
Please ensure that there is only one response for your school.
The survey closes at midnight on Wednesday October 2, 2024.
