Join us for a celebration of reading
National Year of reading
This year is the National Year of Reading (opens in new window) and we at the Virtual School love to read and want to share this passion with you.
Your Voice
Open book on door step
We are really keen to hear about your reading habits - we want to understand what you like about reading, what barriers there might be and the sorts of books you would like to read!
The Virtual School wishes to send you a free book! To help us find books you might enjoy, we would love for you to complete the questionnaire below (opens in new window). This information will be used by our reading team to produce a shortlist of books you will be invited to choose from.
Summer Reading Challenge
We are starting our own reading challenge! You might have taken part in the Library Service's Summer Reading Challenge (opens in new window) before. Well, we have created our own aimed at young people, aged 11 and older.
Our reading challenge consists of 20 different ways to read - you need to complete 10 to receive a badge.
We hope you have already received a copy in the post - if not, there is a link here to our Virtual School Webpage (opens in new window) where you can download it and it is also here on this page - just look to your right
We can't wait to receive your completed challenge - just send the sheet back or take a photo of it and email it to earn a certificate and badge: wsvs@westsussex.gov.uk!
