Read On is a library-run learning to read scheme for adults who want to improve their reading skills but may have limited or no reading ability. Trained and supportive volunteers coach learners during weekly one-to-one sessions in libraries, using a dedicated workbook. This is a short questionnaire to record your details and notes about your reading ability and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

The Libraries and Heritage Service will use this questionnaire to collect personal and special category data (e.g. age and country of birth), the processing of which is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. The data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 2018, the General Data Protection Regulations, and any subsequent data protection legislation.
The data we collect will be securely stored and kept for period of up to 2 years before being appropriately destroyed.
