Crawley - Zone H Public Engagement

What is being proposed?

West Sussex County Council are proposing a new Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), as illustrated in the plan below, to be introduced in Pound Hill. CPZs give priority access to parking for residents in designated bays, so it’s easier for them to park near to their home. CPZs prevent commuter and other long-term parking, so there are more parking spaces for local residents and businesses. Our proposal is for the zone-controlled hours to be from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, this will optimise parking availability for residents throughout the week.

The roads in this proposed zone are:

Amberley Close, Arundel Close, Banks Road, Blackwater Lane, Bodiam Close, Burleys Road, Camber Close, Cowdray Close, Eridge Close, Knepp Close, Lewes Close, Long Close, Pevensey Close, Sedgewick Close, Spring Plat, The Bower, The Pasture, Toftwood Close.

At this time, we want to emphasise that no final decisions have been made regarding the introduction of new parking restrictions. . Should we move forward with proposals, we would suggest that a formal consultation would take place in spring 2025. Therefore, while your feedback during this consultation is greatly appreciated, it will not result in any immediate changes to parking but will aid us in what the next steps will be

CLOSING DATE FOR RESPONSES IS 1 DECEMBER 2024
