Horsham - Controlled Parking Zone A Public Engagement

What is being proposed?

West Sussex County Council are proposing an extension to the days of enforcement in Zone A - Horsham. Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) give priority access to parking for residents, so it’s easier for them to park near to their home. CPZs prevent commuter and other long-term parking, so there are more parking spaces for local residents and businesses. Our proposal is for the zone-controlled days to be changed to Monday to Sunday (Any day).

Other minor changes to the existing parking restrictions in Horsham are being reviewed along side this proposal.

At this time, we want to emphasise that no final decisions have been made regarding the restrictions. If the proposal progresses, a formal consultation would be expected in Summer 2026. Therefore, while your feedback during this engagement is greatly appreciated, it will not result in any immediate changes to parking but will aid us in what the next steps will be.
