Outcome framework for children and young people.

This survey is seeking the views of parent/carers on the proposed outcomes framework for children and young people.

West Sussex County Council have recently started to work on an Outcomes framework, the purpose of this is to describe the outcomes we want our children and young people to achieve. We can then have a clear plan to help children and young people achieve those outcomes over time.

We are at the very beginning of this work and keen to hear from a variety of people, including yourselves, the parent and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The starting point is to look at the outcomes or goals and agree whether these seem like the right things to aim for. This survey will talk you through the suggested 6 outcome titles you can see in the diagram and we would like to know what you think.

The Council for Disabled Children have created resources to explain the outcomes, to help us all understand what we mean by ‘outcomes’, ‘outputs’, and ‘impact’. You may wish to visit the Council for Disabled Children website for more information out these concepts.

We are really keen to hear your views to help us build this framework together. Your views count and will help us check we are focusing on the right areas.
