Thank you to everyone who took part in the West Sussex Homelessness Health and Wellbeing Survey. This survey is now closed.

Update on survey analysis (July 2026):

In total, we received 210 responses from people in a variety of homelessness situations, including those living in temporary accommodation provided by their local council, in hostels and supported accommodation, and those sleeping rough or sofa surfing, alongside a handful of other living situations.

The information collected by the survey is currently being analysed by West Sussex County Council’s Public Health Team. Initial findings will be shared with the project’s Lived Experience Advisory Group and multi-agency Steering Group. The findings will help us understand our residents' experiences of health and wellbeing during a period of homelessness. This will ensure those who plan and organise local services and support have the latest information and data to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness in the county.

We will publish the findings of the survey in the West Sussex Homelessness Health and Wellbeing Needs Assessment on the West Sussex Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) website in the autumn.
