Impact of Childcare Expansion Survey

From April 2024, the government expanded the childcare funding support available for eligible working families. This included the introduction of:

• the 2 year old Early Years Funded Entitlement for Working Families (from April 2024), and
• 9 months plus Early Years Funded Entitlement for Working Families (from September 2024)

If your family has accessed one or both of these offers, we would value your feedback on your experiences to help shape future planning and support.

All responses will remain anonymous.

Depending on your answers, the survey should take around 10 minutes of your time.

If you have more than one child accessing the Early Years Funded Entitlement (EYFE) for Working Families, please complete one survey per child.

Data Protection/Privacy Notice

The Early Years and Childcare team will use this questionnaire to collect personal and special category data the processing of which is necessary to enable us to be compliant with the law (general well-being duties), and for reasons of substantial public interest. The data will be processed in accordance with the 2018 Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulations, and any subsequent data protection legislation. The data we collect be securely stored and kept for period of up to 3 years before being appropriately destroyed. The data we will collect will not be used for any other purpose than that stated above without your prior written consent. West Sussex County Council is registered as Data Controller (Reg.
