Overview

An Equality, Diversity and Inclusion needs assessment of West Sussex Social Care and Early Help is being conducted. It is being done in 3 parts which focus on LGBT+, Disability and Anti-Racism. This is being led by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead for CYPL, Emma-Louise Long. This includes a systematic review of data and research alongside gathering the views and experiences of stakeholders, people who use the services and other professionals.

The role played by staff in Social Care and Early Help forms an integral part of the organisational culture in these service areas and the support for Children and Families, which is why you have received this survey.

We would be grateful if all staff could complete the survey and share the link with their colleagues as we value the views of a wide range of people in different roles. There are different surveys relevant for different staff roles. Please complete the one relevant for you.

There will be 3 different surveys over 12 months, each with a different focus.

Launching timeline:

May 2024 - LGBT+ focused survey

August 2024 - Disability focused survey

January 2025 - Anti-racism focused survey

The results of these surveys will help to inform the key findings and recommendations of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Needs Assessment reports. The first of which has a focus on LGBT+ inclusion and will be published in August 2024. Publishing dates for the Disability and Anti-Racism needs assessments are to be confirmed.

Thank you in anticipation of your support with this work. Please complete the survey available below by 19th June 2024.
