Chichester District Council. Love your district protect our world. Have your say on our new Climate Emergency Action Plan

Overview / Why We Are Consulting

In 2019, Chichester District Council declared a climate emergency and created an action plan to reduce its carbon footprint and help others in the Chichester District to reduce their carbon footprint too. As the plan is coming to an end in 2025, the council is consulting on the next plan, which will run from 2025-2020.

The council has created a survey to gather people’s views on climate projects as part of a public consultation taking place from 1 July until 30 September. As part of the consultation, people will be asked their opinions on potential projects that could help individuals and communities in the district to reduce their emissions.

The survey is available online at https://letstalk.chichester.gov.uk/climatechange/participate with videos to explain each project. Anyone taking part in the survey can enter a draw to be in with a chance to win a sustainable living prize worth up to £500 (terms and conditions apply).

You can find background information about the consultation, including a range of frequently asked questions, at: https://letstalk.chichester.gov.uk/climatechange. On these pages, you will also find details about a series of in-person and online consultation events that the council is organising throughout the summer to help people find out more about the consultation.
