Following a recent tender process, the 2024 Care and Support at Home Framework, is now live. The new Framework replaces all previous domiciliary care and care and support at home framework agreements and is designed to ensure that residents of West Sussex have access to sustainable services which support them to live at home and retain as much independence as possible for as long as possible, supporting them to live the life they want to lead.

More than 120 providers, including several new services, have been approved on the new Framework and providers who bid for the opportunity to join the Framework have now been contacted to confirm the outcome of their bid. To ensure continuity of care we will work with those who did not bid or were unsuccessful to enable them to continue to work with their existing customer base where possible and to provide advice on potential re-opening of the framework in the future.

The 2024 Care and Support at Home Framework offers parity for all qualified providers and will award packages of care to providers based on their ability to meet customer need first and foremost, followed by the lowest hourly cost using each provider’s standard or enhanced rates.

The Council is in the process of implementing a new provider portal to manage payments to care and support at home providers. Providers will be required to submit information on the number of hours delivered through the portal to enable payment on the new Framework. As with previous arrangements providers will be required to request payment for delivered hours of service, not for planned care hours.

Details of the the workshop that took place on Friday 27 September outlining the details of the new Framework Agreement, including the service specification, the contract terms and conditions and important information on how the new Framework will operate can be found here.
