Books, Reading and Culture Training
The Books, Reading and Culture team are responsible for the adult stock management of libraries across the county, and work with library teams to help staff maintain and display their collections effectively. We are involved in coordinating reader development activity, such as author talks, working with literary festivals, reading groups and promoting reading challenges. We promote books and the benefits of reading, through library campaigns, online channels such as social media and e-Newsletters, and through local press and radio.
All of this concerns adult stock but much of it may also apply to children’s stock.
We're going to ask you a few questions to test your knowledge of the Books, Reading and Culture Team. We will give an explanation of the correct answers. This is just a small portion of the work the team covers but includes some of our most frequently asked questions.
