The SEND Commissioning Team will use this questionnaire to collect personal and special category data the processing of which is necessary to enable us to be compliant with the law (general well-being duties), and for reasons of substantial public interest.   • The purpose of this questionnaire is to help the Designated Social Care Officer (DSCO), understand the Social Care work force knowledge around Special Education, Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health and Care Plan’s (EHCP).  This will then help, plan and set up targeted support/training for staff that need it.   The DSCO role is a  relatively new national role and is new to West Sussex, a key focus is to develop social care elements of the SEND strategy across the local authority, in compliance with legislative requirements of the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
